Largest CSGO Cheat in China detected

2018-10-31 21:53 #0 by: jordan

The most common cheat used privately in China has been detected by anti cheat software, leaving many prominent members of the Chinese CS community banned.

Usually this wouldn't mean too much, as regular cheaters would often buy a new account and move on from there, however, the fact that this particular cheat was found has proven to be quite costly.

CSGO features a 'skins' economy, meaning that custom liveries for your weapons can be purchased off of the Steam market for a price. Some of these can cost into the thousands of dollars!

For some then, accounts worth ten of thousands of dollars have been banned, meaning that their inventories may never return. This then causes issues in the market as there are only a finite number of skins total, meaning that the price of some skins may rise even more.

Fascinating. Are the terms of service open with what can happen if you are found cheating?

#2 The terms of service are agreed upon creation of your account with Steam (the platform), so they should know the consequences of what could happen. Sadly though in recent times it has been too easy to cheat, and it is difficult for anti cheat to keep up.
